Mary’s Cafe – Strawn, TX

“Yeeha” Stephen drew us out in the cool, damp wet roads today to ride over to Mary’s Cafe in Strawn, TX.  The ride was first planned to Jefferson, but the rain lingering and drifting to the northeast put Strawn on the route to the west.  We were surprised that the roads had not dried, and drizzle persisted.  But, it only added to the hilly scenery though it kept us a bit on edge through the corners.  Hey, it was OK, we were riding.  Mary’s Cafe has a pretty good reputation for cooking up some rather large chicken fried steak.  Can’t eat like this every day, but once in a while does not hurt that bad…

Slabbing back home…We all had to get back to our homes for various commitments and slabbed it back to Dallas, so I blew off an extended ride down southwest of Fort Worth.

Oh yeah… Ask Colin how much that Texas Tech hat cost.
