The Old Texaco Sign
January 20, 2023
My father was a Texaco station owner/operator. Early memories I have of his first station include the round sign with an enormous red star and T. This sign was used by Texaco from 1936 to 1963. I see many of these signs on my journeys around the country and I try to stop to document them. Some are at original locations of stations and others by collectors that have them in random places for others to enjoy. I’ll add to this post as I find more of these old signs that I am very fond of.
