South Central BMW Owners Reunion 2006

Now that I own a BMW moto, I might as well get together with others at a BMW rally. The Houston club hosted a camping rally in Fredericksburg, TX at Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park. I met up on the road with a few other riders I met on the way down. We stopped at Cooper’s Old Time Pit Bar-B-Que in Llano for some of their famous brisket. This group had rented a stone cabin out in the middle of the woods and crop fields that was really cool.
I set up camp in the park and enjoyed some of Smokin’ Willie’s brisket and socialized with other riders. Saturday was a ride around the Hill Country with a presentation in the evening by Danny Liska’s daughter about his world travels.
This was my first moto-camping experience and although it was a damp weekend, I really enjoyed it!
