2021 Motorcycle Grand Tour of Texas

The Motorcycle Grand Tour of Texas kicked off on March 15th.  This event is hosted by David Canada with stops all around the state of Texas to entice one to ride and explore.  It has gained in popularity with over 1,000 riders participating this year.

What I really like about grand tours is the fact I can ride at my own pace, and incorporate tour stops into other ride objectives like visiting friends or traveling to other events.  This year I made 5 trips totaling a little more than 5,000 miles with 8 overnight stays to document the the 50 stops.  Many of the places I had been to, but others were new experiences, which I enjoy.  I finished the tour on July 11th with a trip to the Hill Country to visit my long time friend Keith and to finally catch up with the rolling stop, Rex Covington at the Hill Country Motorheads Motorcycle Museum in Burnet.  Rex (Lone Star Rider) travels all around the US collecting donations for the American Diabetes Association.
